Senior Leaders from FAA, Airservices Australia and  ICAO To Headline the 2009 Naverus PBN Summit
Sessions will focus on the business case for Performance-based Navigation

Seattle, Wash. – July 23, 2009  Nancy Graham, Director of the ICAO Air Navigation Bureau, Hank Krakowski , COO of the FAA Air Traffic Organization, and Greg Russell, CEO of Airservices Australia, are three of the prominent air traffic management leaders who will speak at the third annual Naverus PBN Summit in Seattle, October 1-2.   The PBN Summit is a two day international forum focused on making a business case for the implementation of Performance-based Navigation (PBN).

Greg Russell, CEO of Airservices Australia will set the tone for the Summit on opening day, when he will address the group on Australia’s decision and commitment to complete a nationwide PBN transformation over the next five years.

The Summit also will feature prominent speakers from Alaska Airlines, the International Air Transportation Association (IATA) and Civil Air Navigation Services Organization (CANSO) and other leading airlines and aviation organizations.

The third annual Summit, which convenes Oct.  1 at the Seattle Sheraton Hotel, brings together airline operators, air navigation service providers, aviation regulators and other key aviation stakeholders from around the world for two days of intensive discussions and interaction.

In a year that has seen more and more airlines and air navigation service providers studying PBN as a strategy to reduce aviation-related CO2emissions and lower aircraft fuel consumption, Summit speakers will share their knowledge and provide insight on the keys to successful PBN transformation.

This year’s program focuses on making a business case for aircraft operators and air traffic management organizations to adopt PBN. The program features interactive sessions designed to address PBN topics relevant to a broad spectrum of aviation stakeholders and to share strategies and techniques for deriving environmental and economic benefit.

“Naverus is pleased to have such a diverse group of industry experts confirmed for this year’s PBN Summit,” said Naverus CEO Steve Forte.  “Attendees will enjoy a rare opportunity to learn from major players in the PBN community.  We’re certain this year’s PBN Summit will be the most successful one yet,” he said.
